About Shunise

Shunise Criswell is a renowned braider based in San Francisco, California. Her passion for braiding hair started at a young age and has only grown stronger over the years. She has traveled to different states, serving clients with various hair descriptions and fashion preferences, while also welcoming clients to her local salon. Witnessing the expansion of her customer base, Shunise decided to elevate her business to the next level, and the rest is history! What began as a hobby has now become her true passion. Shunise credits Anitra Baker and her sister, Malkia Criswell, for their support and inspiration. While she acknowledges that she may not be the absolute best, she firmly believes that she's far from the worst. When you sit in her chair, you can expect an unforgettable experience!

I have had one of the best experiences getting my hair done at Ready Set Braid ! Not only does Shunise have a welcoming and warm personality but she gets you in and out in a very timely manner. My hair has grown tremendously since getting my knotless braids and fresh flat irons. I have been a client since 2016 and it just keeps getting better with time ! Shunise has never let my hair down. My hair has been braided on and off for the last 20+ years and have had success with all the braiders. However, once I found Shaunise, I never have to look for another hairstylist. I love that she braids my hair perfectly and most importantly quickly! I can make an appointment in the morning and be home in the afternoon. She is prompt, professional and accommodating. I also enjoy being in a lively hair salon as opposed to someone’s home. If you’re looking for a braider (I’ve only used braid services), look no further than Ready Set Braid.

Shunise be hooking ya boy up. Every time I get braided by her I get compliments everywhere I go. I even got one of my closest friends to get braided by her. Now mom is asking me to book her appointments. She can do any stile and she fast AF.

Hair technician for ready set broad has been doing my hair for the past six years. She is fast and efficient. I have received hairstyles from braids, twist, wash, and flat irons, sew ins and I always leave her chair looking amazing. My sons also gets there hair done buy shanice for the past four years. She is great at what she does..
